Is done. And now I am going to sleep.
Ex Libris is still looking for SFX and MetaLib interns. Contact me if you are interested.
I am thrilled that five of you have made some entries on the wiki. I would love to see more. I created an extra page for compiling a collection of other resources on next generation library catalogues (listservs, blogs, articles, books, companies, and so on). So if you can't find a cool catalogue that hasn't already been entered, then maybe you could put an annotated entry into the Bibliography.
Also, I added an instruction to the biography drop-box, asking you to name the file bio-name.doc/pdf, e.g., bio-cutter.doc.
I have put up the last LCC slideset, and the first Dewey one. We will still be working off the slides from last week before we get to these, but we will finish LCC on Friday, and I hope to start Dewey.
Sorry the assignment PDF was not actually attached to the Assignment 4 space. It is now. Have a look at it, ask questions about it next class.
Is in VISTA
The PPT slides for next class have been loaded, along with Assignment 4. There are three slide sets - the third is done as two to a page because it is importrant for you to be able to see the LCC text when we go through examples in class. We might not make it through all of the content - that's okay - there's a little bit of slack built in here.
I have made a drop-box in VISTA where you can put your biography, like for your assignments. Just agree on which one of you is going to be the depositer. Remember, the biography needs to be there by March 30, which is ten days away, and the same day that Assignment 3 is due.
For those of you who were interested - I gave you the title of the wrong diet book. The right one - the best book to use - is called Slim Forever - The French Way, and you can find it here: http://tinyurl.com/3598kb. If you're really into it, I also have a one-page cheat sheet that I made for carrying around as a guideline.
Is in VISTA, along with Assignment 3
Unprecedentedly early, driven by a desparate need to get more stuff done than there is time, I have loaded the next PPT into VISTA.
I have put up tomorrow's PPT/PDF, and Assignment 3. We will go over Assignment 3 in class. I will not be available much this afternoon - meetings and such, and I am madly trying to finish grading your Assignment 1.
