415 – latest
Finished Assignment 4 and the Bioquiz, and I put a file containing two of the more creative answers to the bonus question in eLearning, on the main page.
415 – Asst 4
8 am and I still have 5 or 6 to go. Still, I came pretty close. I will be grading all day and tomorrow.
OPAC discussion
I allocated the 5 points for the “Improving OPACs” discussion based on the quality and continuousness of contributions to the forum. Some people really engaged in the conversation with multiple posts and responses (4-5), some people made a couple of good contributions (3), some people made one contribution (1-2), and some people didn’t contribute at [...]
415 – biographical dictionary
A biographical dictionary is just the jargon used to describe a collective biography, usually one gathering bios of people who are historically significant to a nation, Examples include the Dictionary of American Biography and the Dictionary of National Biography (UK). Please do not bring the concept of actual dictionaries into this question in Assignment 5. [...]
419 – last PPT
Is in eLearning – see you tomorrow/Thursday
415 – finding the bios

415 – bioquiz
I have added the bioquiz assignment to eLearning. This is a 2-point set of 12 scavenger hunt questions about the biographies, all of which are now available to all in eLearning. I will be returning comments on the bios shortly. I changed the bioquiz due date to July 24, 10pm (that’s later than it was).
415 – lab times
Okay – I changed the lab times. For both classes (Monday and Tuesday), we will meet in the lab for the first hour of class.
415 – LCC
Thursday’s class missed most of the literature part of LCC. So, luckily enough, I have a screencast which happens to cover exactly that. I put a link to it in the PPT & Handouts section of eLearning, in the Jul 15/16 subfolder. When you click on this link, the video will start to play. Since [...]
415 – submitting bios
In the case of the bio, each student is identified as a member of a group, so only one of you needs to submit the file.
