415 – Asst 4
In Part B, you are to assign UP TO 8 (not exactly and only eight) descriptors from ERIC to each item, and separately, up to 8 descriptors from AAT.
415 – new readings
I have added some possibilities to choose from for your readings to this wiki page – http://gslis.simmons.edu/wikis/lis415-candy/Next_generation_library_catalogs.The first group are articles and such, and the second are blogs from which you could pick some postings.
415 – next slides, last asst
I put the slides for next week and the last (yay!) assignment into eLearning. I next plan to catch up on your readings. Then assignment 2.
462 – next slides
Are in eLearning.
415 – revising asst 3
I will have very little time this week to look over asst 3. Some of you have made appointments. If you have not, and you plan on dropping in – don’t. Make an appointment. Currently I have 10:30-noon and 4-6 on Wednesday, and between 1 and 2:30 on Thursday.
415 – next slides
Are in eLearning. And I am completely finished with assignment 1. Gahh.

This use of the singular they/them/their is controversial (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Singular_they), [...]
462 – Nov. 5
On Nov. 5, after we get back from BPL and have a committee meeting, I am stopping class at 12:10. This is to give myself and any of you an opportunity to take the Linked Data workshop that is being offered by GSLIS. You can choose to use those remaining minutes to go to the [...]
415 – asst 1
I am putting asst 1 back in your asst 1 dropboxes as I complete them. It’s taking longer than I had hoped, but I am getting there. In most cases I will have attached a comment sheet.
