Nicaragua Introduction

The connection between Simmons and Nicaragua began last summer when a small group of students and Assistant Dean Denise Davis traveled to the country to volunteer at a small library in San Juan del Sur, a small town on the strip of land bordered by the ocean, Lake Nicaragua, and the Costa Rican border. This year three of us are continuing the tradition: Denise, myself, and Victoria Walsh. Victoria and I are students at GSLIS, and also work for the school in various capacities. Over the next few weeks we will be posting our impressions as we explore the country and its libraries.
