QUAL:

  • Graduate degree in English, Library Science or Business Administration or related experience
  • 1+ year experience with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel Preferred Skills:
  • Strong project management skills
  • A love of language, an advanced vocabulary, and strong grammar skills.
  • Detail-oriented and an ability to problem-solve independently
  • Computer literacy and good data entry/typing skills
  • Strong communication skills ability to present ideas clearly and with confidence
  • Previous work experience in EBSCO’s Editorial Department
  • Knowledge of EBSCO Abstracting & Indexing policies
  • Ability to work individually and with a team to meet deadlines
  • Supervisory/leadership skills preferred

DUTIES: EP’s Editorial department is currently seeking a Project Leader who will be the primary support for projects specific to the CSI (Comprehensive Subject Index) group. The Project Leader will assist the Supervisor in monitoring and overseeing project workflow to ensure completion of projects on schedule. In addition, he/she may perform editorial functions similar to the CSI Editor.

  • Assist CSI Supervisor in developing, implementing, overseeing and assessing project workflow to ensure that project work is completed on schedule
  • Provide feedback on quality and quantity of CSI project output on a regular basis
  • Train CSI staff or other personnel to carry out project-related tasks and answer questions
  • Create, edit and update project-related documentation
  • Provide input on staffing concerns and current projects, as well as providing insight for improving processes or department tools
  • Assist in developing and generating project-specific CSI reports and queries
  • Update CSI Sharepoint pages ensuring links, data, and projects are current
  • Provide technical support when necessary
  • Interact with Editorial Team Leaders and other EP departments to help communicate CSI project requirements
  • Maintain CSI department tools used to track projects and personnel productivity
  • Provide support in developing system requirements and testing/troubleshooting systems
  • Perform CSI Editor functions
