Information Resource Specialist, Thomas College, Waterville, ME

Thomas College invites applications for the position of Information Resource Specialist. Reporting to the Director of Library Services, this person will focus on three key areas; instructional technology support, information literacy support, and supervision of several part-time student employees. This position typically works from mid-morning to evenings five days per week.

A college degree and a minimum of two years experience are preferred. Extensive relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree. Moodle, online learning technologies, online library databases, audio/video equipment and Microsoft Windows/Office experience is helpful. Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, training/education skills, information literacy skills and an attention to detail. Successful candidates should be able to display initiative and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a constantly changing environment with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff.
