The Electronic Resources & Online Services Librarian leads in identifying,
implementing, and managing existing and emerging technological applications in
all areas of library services. The ideal candidate has experience with:
implementing and managing a variety of electronic resources and services,
leading project teams in the development of innovative services, teaching their
uses to others, assessing their effectiveness, and adapting as needed based on
assessment results. We seek a strong collaborator and communicator, who is
able to work effectively with librarians, information technology professionals,
faculty, students, and staff. This librarian also serves as a liaison,
providing information literacy instruction and collection development support
to assigned academic departments and First Year Seminars, and provides
reference services including some evening and weekend shifts. One to three
years of relevant professional level experience in an academic library setting
is highly desired.

This position directly supports four core areas of library electronic resources
and online services that engage multiple aspects of campus teaching and
learning:

1) Discovery by managing online research tools including the library’s
database finder, discovery service, link resolver, and OPAC.
2) Access – by providing technical support for delivery of online content.
3) Presentation – by creating attractive and functional interfaces for the
presentation of library resources and services on the Internet.
4) Learning – by developing and providing, both virtually and in person,
clear and effective information literacy instruction, via mechanisms including
online tutorials and active learning classroom techniques.
