Lunenburg Public Library
The Board of Trustees of the Lunenburg Public Library is seeking an energetic and innovative leader to direct operations and work collaboratively with the staff of our 15,000 sq. ft. library. The library serves a population of 10,000 and has a very successful Friends of the Library organization with over 1,000 members.
The Library Director is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the library, personnel management of nine library employees, collection and program development, library policy development and implementation, and long range and technological planning. This position involves considerable interaction with the Board of Trustees, town officials and public to continue the library’s mission as a vital, forward-thinking part of the Lunenburg community. A Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized college or university program, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible library administration experience including at least three (3) years in a supervisory capacity or any combination of experience and training which provides a demonstrated potential for performing the duties of the position.
