Sales Associate (m/f)

for our Boston office to support and enhance the sales effort for all products in the Americas by providing customer service, administrative, system and organizational support to customers and sales staff. The Sales Associate will have the following duties:

  • Responsibility for all sales processes for digital US customer accounts, including new product sales, license agreements, renewals and updates, usage statistics  and invoicing for electronic products.
  • Supports sales process for print product through key accounts, handling information provision and complex queries.
  • Assists Sales staff with visit preparation and follow-up after customer meetings..
  • Preparation of data for invoices and oversees internal and external invoicing
  • Trouble-shooting of access control issues for electronic products together with Customer Service
  • Coordination of renewals and trials processes, and follow up as required
  • Organization of information-flow with Customer Service regarding new orders and customer inquiries
  • Management of one-to-one customer and account information

Recording and reporting on sales dataThe successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Windows software applications
  • Accurate way of working with great attention to detail/ good standard of numeracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of the customers and market for academic product, ideally experience of working in a library.
  • Experience of a customer service or other customer-facing role
  • Well-organized work approach, with the ability to organize others
  • Friendly and outgoing personality/ ability to quickly build a rapport with a wide range of people
