| On October 14th, 2010 the Simmons Graduate School of Library and Information Science hosted a lecture by Dr. Andrew Jameson, a Simmons GSLIS alumnus and retired professor of Harvard University and University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Jamesons lecture focused on the origin and history of the Library, its collections and arrangement, the scholar-librarians, and its disappearance, as well as the revival of the Biblotheca Alexandrina whose purpose is to restate the universal legacy of the ancient library in modern terms. |
