Girl was MY favorite book in high school. After reading an excerpt in Sassy Magazine, I went out and bought the book. Did you see the awful movie featuring Jared Leto? I had such high hopes for that too… oh well. The moral of the story is that I also bought Girl for the library I now work in and it circulates pretty well.

I read the excerpt in Sassy, too! I never saw the movie, but I heard that it also featured Tara Reid . . . I’ve never thought anything else by Blake has come close to “Girl,” but, then again, the bar was set very, very high with that one.
