Help

The search functions on this website will only retrieve items within the Ruth Mitchell Wunderly Scrapbook; please see the site map for a complete list of content pages containing articles and other resources-not scrapbook items.

There are three ways to search for items within the scrapbook:

Browsing

From the homepage, there is a portal to the scrapbook called "Enter the Scrapbook." This leads directly to the scrapbook itself.

From the blue navigation bar at the top of the screen, the scrapbook may be browsed alphabetically according to subject, object type, or creator. The "View All" option displays all the pages and objects within the scrapbook.

As can be seen from the image above, specific pages can also be selected for viewing by choosing the page number from a drop-down menu. Alternatively, the arrow buttons just beneath the "Go to page" option allow browsing page by page and object by object. Scrapbook pages containing multiple objects will display a list of related items directly beneath the page description. Scrapbook objects will display a link to the full-page on which they are located, in addition to showing a list of other objects sharing the same scrapbook page.

Expanded Scrapbook Search

The option to perform an expanded scrapbook search is available only from the homepage of the website. Clicking on the "Expanded Scrapbook Search" link on the homepage leads to a separate page presenting different search options. Searches can be expanded or limited by choosing to search "some" or "all" of the words entered into the search box. Additionally, the search may be limited to titles, creators, descriptions, subjects, object types, or keywords. Enclosing search terms within quotation marks will ensure that the words are searched as a phrase and not as individual words. Be sure to click the "Begin search" button-hitting the enter key will not start your search!

Search the Scrapbook

This option is available from any page on the website, and is located in the upper right corner. Placing quotation marks around search terms will limit the results to those pages and objects where the search terms are found as a phrase.
