 Academic record of Olive Ruby and Program, Shubert Theatre (cover only)
Clipped together in an area approximately 20 cm tall and 14 cm wide are: 1) A white paper folded in half containing the academic record for Olive C. Ruby for the academic period ending Feb. 1, 1912. This paper is printed in blue ink with a Simmons College header, a categorical list of subjects with corresponding grades either "passed" or "in low standing" followed by a handwritten tally of cumulative points earned and signed at the bottom by Marjorie Burbank, Recorder. 2) A three-page cover and back of a program for the Shubert Theatre. The first page has a portrait of a lady with arms raised at the center, surrounded by an ornamental margin scroll of flowers, vines, and leaves and the words "Sam. S. Schubert Theatre, Boston." There is a handwritten note at the top: "Feb 15-Went with Lloyd Marks/Dinner at Crossby's." Second page is a full page advertisement for Lewando's cleaning company. Third page is a floor plan diagram of the Shubert Theatre.

 
 

 Academic record of Olive Ruby, Simmons College, 1912 (with envelope)
This is an envelope which contains a letter printed on white paper with black ink. On the back of the envelope the word "Marks" has been written in pencil. The letter, dated February 3, 1912, is typed on one side of one page, and concerns the academic record of Olive C. Ruby at Simmons College. The envelope is approximately 17 cm wide by 10 cm tall. The letter is approximately 14 cm wide by 21 cm tall.

This paper is printed in blue ink with a Simmons College header, a categorical list of subjects with corresponding grades hand written in: "P" presumably for "passed", a printed and handwritten tally of points earned, signed at the bottom by Marjorie Burbank, Recorder. As it appears on the page folded up, the dimensions are approximately 15 cm wide and 8 cm tall.

This is an application for a student's ticket at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. It is printed on white paper with black ink. The application has three lines to be filled out: Name, Address, and Date. "Olive Ruby" is handwritten on the line beside Name; "Simmons College" is stamped on the line next to address; and "Nov. 27, 1912" is handwritten in the space provided for the date. A small circular hole has been punched in the bottom-center of the card. The application is approximately 13 cm wide by 8 cm tall.

 Envelope for birth announcement, Ray Peterson Jr.
Envelope addressed to Miss Olive Ruby, #86 Belleme St. Boston, MA. The date stamp says Syracuse, N.Y. October 30 11:30 PM 1912. It also contains a 2 cent stamp with the profile of George Washington. The envelope is approximately 9 cm wide by 8 cm tall.

 
 

 Letter, from Sister Miriam to Olive
This typewritten letter to Olive from "Sister Miriam" measures approximately 16 cm wide by 20 cm high and reads: "Dear Olive, Paul said that I could write on the typewrite this eveing , so I thought I would write to you, I like to write on it very well it is a lot of fun don't you think so. I received your sugar that you sent me and half of it was gone, one box was filled and the other was all out. And Ithank you ever so much. I have not very much to say but I thought you wouldlike to hear from me. Walter came home today and to_day is tuesday night. Day after tomorrow is hollewn night and papa gave Howard a jacklantern and Howard has cut his out and it looks pretty good, he gave me a pumpkin but I haue not cut mine out yet, This is the first time I have ever writtean on this so if you find any mistakes dont blame me. I am getting along all right and hope you are getting along all right too. It is getting so late know that i will have to leavethis letter and write a longer letter some othert time. Howard wants to write on the type-writer now sothere will be another excuse for stopping. Good-night, Love to all, Sister Miriam."

This is a poster for Spring Public presented by the Sphinx Society of Oneida High School on Friday, May 5 in 1911. It advertises "Ruby and Donovan in 'A Box of Monkeys' and Tibbets and Baker in Mishaps of Minerva and a specialty something worth seeing." It is printed in black ink and there is a small cut on the top and the bottom. The poster is approximately 21 cm tall and 11 cm wide.

This receipt was is printed on brown paper similar to a brown paper bag. Printed in black in it says "TELEGRAPH AND CABLE SERVICE TO ALL THE WORLD. THE WESTERN UNION TELEGRAPH CO. INCORPORATED. FOR QUICK SERVICE, ANSWER BY BEARER." Handwritten on the receipt is "Miss Olive Ruby, North Hall, 86 Bellevue St." The bottom of the receipt is damaged but appears to say "PAY CHARGES TO MESSENGER UNLESS WRITTEN IN INK IN DELIVERY BOOK." It is approximately 14 cm wide and 8 cm tall.

This is a letter, wedding invitation, and envelope. The envelope, addressed to Miss Olive Ruby, 86 Bellevue St., Boston Mass., is postmarked "Oneida, N.Y., May 24, 1913, 5 p.m.," and bears a red, two-cent stamp. The letter, dated "Oneida May 24, 1913," is written on the front and back of one page, and is hand-written. The invitation, to announce the wedding of Lois Aldrich to Harry Wellott, is printed in two parts on card stock in a cursive font. The envelope is approximately 16 cm wide by 9 cm tall. The page on which the letter is written is approximately 26 cm wide by 16.5 cm tall. The first part of the invitation is approximately 15 cm wide by 17 cm tall, while the second part is approximately 13 cm wide by 8 cm tall.

This is an invitation card that announces the marriage of Wintie Bowman to Mr. Walter Morley Ruby on Tuesday, October 15, 1912 in Harrisonburg, Virginia. The card is approximately 15 cm tall and 29 cm wide and is placed in an envelop on which "Miss Olive Ruby" is handwritten in black ink. Both the card and the envelope are kept in another blank envelope glued on the scrapbook page. The envelopes are approximately 9 cm tall and 16 cm wide.
