SLA meeting notes SEPTEMBER 14

The first student chapter meeting began promptly at 5:30 with Brittany giving a general summary of the benefits of SLA followed by officer introductions.

The membership raffle was announced, Heather will contact Ann Kardos with her big prize.

A list went around collecting email addresses for the listserv.

A brief mention was made to the previous night’s SLA Boston chapter kick-off event, and the shark that may or may not have died during said event.

Brittany announced upcoming events such as the meetings being held every 2nd Thursday of the month, the tour of the Congregational Library on Sept. 29th 10am, and the Panel being organized with ASIST for October 17th at 1pm.

Annika and Nicole spoke about their jobs in special libraries.
