Day of the Dead

Thursday, 30. October 2008, The ALASC and LISSA sponsored a Day of the Dead celebration in the GSLIS Lounge. We shared Mexican food and beverages, decorated sugar skulls, and had a great time hanging with fellow LIS students and faculty.

Bookluck!

Sunday, October 21st, 2007, ALASC officers, members, and friends gathered at Amanda's apartment to enjoy some delicious potluck food, beverages, and literary conversation before the exciting Red Sox win in Game 7 of the American League championship. We're planning more Booklucks this semester, so suggest a venue or theme in the "Suggestions for Future ALASC Events" section of the wiki!

Take a Coffee Break on the ALASC!

Monday, December 3rd through Friday, December 7th, 2007, students stopped by the GSLIS student lounge between 9am and 1pm for some free coffee or tea, provided by the friendly neighborhood ALA student chapter. We all took a break from that end-of-the-semester scrambling with some Java City goodness.
