1. Gaming Night is ON! (again) Wednesday, April 29th, from 6:30 to 9pm, everyone is again invited to the Gaming Night, featuring the brand-new Wii console purchased by LISSA for the benefit of all GSLIS students. So come to the Library (in the Mann and Alden Trust rooms) and blow some steam. The food will be provided by ALA-SC.

2. Your Student Groups are working hard The End of Semester party just got a few more sponsors: SLA, ASIS&T, SIR, Panopticon and LISSA have joined forces and financial might to bring a super-duper party on Friday May 1st, at 5pm in the Kotzen Center. Come hungry, thirsty (for food, drinks, and engaging conversations).

3. Join Simmons SLA for 3 great activities:

1. Tour of Leventhal Map Library (at the Boston Public Library) at 10:00 2. Lunch on Newbury Street (at 12:00) 3. Tour of Digital Services Lab (at the Boston Public Library) at 1:30.

Free -- All Simmons students are welcome!

Join us for any of the events, or all three. If you can?t make it to the tours, come for lunch -- this is a great chance for folks who work in Back Bay/South End to meet up in your area!

For each tour and lunch, let?s meet at the Boston Public Library's Copley Square entrance (the older of the two buildings), inside, in front of the marble staircase.

Visit and talk with Carole Myles, member-at-large of the ACRL and Head of Reference & Instructional Services, Assumption College (Worcester, MA). We asked her to speak because she has first hand knowledge of other career opportunities we can look for after graduation (not everyone can get into an academic library... especially with all of the hiring freezes). This event took place in the Faculty and Staff Dining Room from 6.30-8.30.
