      • Podcasts are available on the ASIS&T web site
      • Michael also has a recap of his presentation on his blog

        • We'll send out a notice when we know what restaurant
      • Miriam (current GSLIS student) will present "Demystifying Linux" on Saturday 3/24 at 1pm
      • Casey Bisson is coming to present his WordPress-based SOPAC (Social OPAC) on Wednesday 4/18 at 6:30pm in the Kotzen Meeting Room
    • Alison received an email from GSLIS alum Brittany Lehman regarding a Ugandan student who would like to set up an international student chapter of ASIS&T.
      • Brittany is asking for a student contact who might be willing to act as a liaison for the student

      • One event left for this semester! Abby Blachly, Librarian for LibraryThing.
        • Wednesday 12/6 @ 1pm in GSLIS Lounge
      • Social @ Cambridge Common
        • Thursday, December 14 @ 7:30pm
        • Sally has heard good things about their Tater Tots
        • They also have Fried Pickles!
        • Bring friends, family, total strangers, etc.
      • There's an ASIS&T Google Calendar!
        • View standalone, merge into your Google Calendar, or use the feed and view it in iCal or your calendar software of choice
        • Search Google Calendar for "Simmons ASIS&T"
      • 15 Workshop topics / 31 sessions / 143 people / 4.6 people on average
        • Best attended: 12 people attended UI Design as well as XML workshops
        • Please let Alison know if you have ideas for topics, and be prepared to get emails begging for help!
  2. Alison passes agenda to Ellen
    • Speed Geeking will return next semester!
    • Nicole Hennig from the Cool Tools panel will be coming to talk about LibX and other MIT Library Betas
    • Another social will be in the works
    • We still need a podcaster and an archivist!
      • The podcaster will be responsible for recording and providing access to events for GSLIS West and other students who couldn't make it.
      • The archivist will be responsible for taking over the ASIS&T Student Chapter binder and manila folder and making some sense of it. Or at least moving it to a larger binder.
      • If you're interested in either of these jobs, please let us know. Prior experience is unnecessary.
        • Joelle Burdette has volunteered for the archivist position!
    • Joanna is still taking member bios and photos for the ASIS&T web site
    • Tech lab is hiring! Working at the tech lab is fun, and a good way to get to know your classmates and community. Hours are flexible. If interested, ask a TRA or check the Tech Lab website.
    • Emily, who is graduating, would like us to start providing cheese-less pizzas for those who are not graduating.
    • Graduating members: Emily Belanger, Laura Erickson, Jen Lege, Brittany Lehman, Heather Soyka
    • We need a better way to keep track of alumni/ae. The Wiki requires a Simmons login, so perhaps some kind of external solution or something through the Simmons AlumNet.
    • Ellen wants to know if people would be interested in some ASIS&T Swag if we were to offer it as a fund raiser.
