About
I started at Simmons GSLIS in the fall of 2005 after finishing a Masters of Fine Arts from Emerson College's Creative Writing Poetry Program. My thesis is still in their library, I believe! At Emerson, I also taught Freshman writing courses including one on Research Writing. Before moving to Boston for grad school, I was a teacher and youth director in Michigan. If you meet me in person, I can show you where I lived on the palm of my hand.
I did my undergrad at Randolph-Macon Woman's College which has now gone co-ed, and changed it's name to Randolph College. To all this, I say Grrrr.
My Simmons career has significantly slowed due to the fact I got a job as a High School Library teacher last fall. I currently work at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro MA, and really enjoy putting my GSLIS coursework directly into practice. I'm (hopefully) in the final throws of the Simmons SLTP program (2 summer courses and the 2 practica) and expect to finish by next spring.
I dabble in craftiness via knitting, cardmaking, simple books, and, of course, writing. I'd like to get involved in the Book Review world, but have not done so as yet. The best I have is the YA Review blog I started for Amy Pattee's course.
