Melrose Public Schools Job: Elementary Library Media Specialist

Duties/Description: The Elementary Library Media Specialist is a district-wide professional who coordinates elementary-level library media volunteer resources to support equitable, high-quality classroom teaching and learning. The ELMS provides leadership in the evaluation, development, and implementation of the school library media program based on Massachusetts School Library Association Standards in support of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

2. Masters degree in Library Science from an accredited college or university, with a preference given to those accredited by the American Library Association.

3. Certification valid for service as a Library Media Specialist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

4. At least five years in education preferred, three years of which will be as a Library Media Specialist in a public school setting. Salary: In accordance with the teacher's contract
