Job Title: Librarian and Technology Integration Specialist

Librarian is teacher, administrator, leader, manager, instructional partner, and information specialist.

Responsibilities include: • Support teaching staff willing to experiment with integrating technology into instruction. • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement authentic lessons, integrating instructional technology into their curriculum. • Collaborate with teachers and team teaches research related projects. • Collaborate with teachers to integrate research, information retrieval skills, and literature appreciation into the curriculum. • Serve as a resource consultant and assist teachers in planning lessons. • Identify, select, order, receive, process, and organize resources that support the curriculum. • Manage the circulation/distribution of information resources and equipment. • Assist teachers and students in the literacy skills of using information resources and incorporating information skills into classroom curriculum. • Create and maintain a collection development process that includes such aspects as maintaining accurate and current catalogs and records, weeding, and inventories. • Prepares and oversees a library media program budget which reflects the needs of the entire school community.

PVPA is a public charter school that offers rigorous college-preparatory curriculum and instruction in integrated performing arts and academics. Seeking librarian/instructional technology specialist committed to collaborating with adults to deliver student-centered, hands-on teaching and learning opportunities in small (400 students, Gr. 7-12) progressive school. PVPA is a highly successful small school, now entering its 14th year.

Qualifications: MA certification in library science, or eligibility
