When Stickmen Fence: The Bubble Theory

This page is primarily an exposition on the consequences of violent action upon the well-known figures in children's drawings everywhere: The stickman. Secondarily, we will itemize the anatomy of the stickman, as a public service and guide.

Stickmen are simple creatures, with simple needs. They are a shy yet friendly creature, as our many sightings of the species reveal. The following is a short enumeration of their commonly attributed qualities.

Stickmen:

  • are very, very thin; much thinner than people, but this is healthy only for them
  • eat only the most slender of toothpicks and woodshavings
  • are attracted to crayons, especially the primary colors, but do not eschew graphite

Lesser known attributes:

  • they are nice, though fierce when provoked
  • they are "ridiculously creative, like wow man yo"
  • they sleep within the interior of pencils (for them it is a snug bed)
  • their heads are made of bubbles!!!

It is this last item that has shocked the world, and caused us to doubt their appropriate categorization. Stickmen, or Bubbleheads? hit the National Bestseller's List at number 2 this year, and further (often contradictory) information has been extensively circulated on YouTube. There have always been contradictory versions of stickmen physiology, but this wiki lays claim to definitive proof, a snapshot of the Bubble-Theory in action--with tragic consequences.

This explicit Bubble-Theory image has been linked separately out of consideration to our younger, more sensitive viewers. We believe distribution of this image, though 'graphic', will additionally encourage appropriate and safe behavior on the fencing strip. (Wear your masks!)

On a more positive note, the author of this page also wishes it to be understood that stickmen's bubble heads seem to be made out of a poly-synthetic material hitherto unknown to the scientific world, rather than the far more delicate soap flimsies common to the kitchen sink and bathtub. This explains a great deal about the longevity of the species, and offers great hopes for future research in plastics.

His portrayal is somewhat unorthodox, but confirms some things we already suspected: a) stickmen sometimes wear clothes, b) stickmen have friends, and c) stickmen live full and vibrant lives.
