A little about me

This is my first semester in the GSLIS program at Simmons College. Prior to moving to Boston, I lived in Northern California my whole life. Most of my immediate family live in Northern California too. I look forward to observing the differences between:

the West Coast

Monterey, CA

and the East Coast.

Cape Cod, MA

This semester I am taking three classes:

  • LIS 403: Evaluation of Information
  • LIS 404: Principles of Management
  • LIS 415: Organization of Information

So far, my classes are not too difficult. There is a lot of homework, but I am learning some interesting things about the scope of library work. I read an interesting article from the American Library Association (http://www.ala.org) titled "Places An MLS Can Take You." This is a great article about the variety of jobs people with MLS degrees have.

I have several hobbies.
