Our Immediate Cat Family

Our Extended Cat Family
Sometimes our three cats look and act like the wild cat at the top of the page. Usually they are very sweet and tranquil. What they all have in common is the fact that they are all "saves", or rescued abandoned cats. My husband and I have worked with many local cat rescue organizations over the years and fostered many cats. All of our foster cats have been found in our neighborhood. They have stayed with us for time periods from 24 hours up to six months or more. They were then placed in Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society when there was room for them and in time adopted into permanent new homes. Each one has their own story of hunger, neglect and abuse. Each one has been rehabilitated and resocialized. Although we usually never see them again once they are adopted, each one still has a special place in our hearts.
