About Me
I graduated from Bowdoin College in 2000 with a degree in biochemistry, and I have been working for a recruitment firm called Carney, Sandoe & Associates for the last seven years. I'll continue to work for CS&A while attending Simmons on a part-time basis.
I am a sports fanatic and am particularly interested in college basketball and major league baseball. I follow the Red Sox very closely, and Fenway Park (shown below) is one of my favorite places on earth.
Why GSLIS?
I decided to pursue a master's in library science with a goal of working as a librarian, either in a school or public library. I'm passionate about books and feel very strongly that young children need to be exposed to books and reading at a very young age. I plan to take the following courses this fall:
- LIS 407 Reference/Information Services
- LIS 481 Child Literature and Media
To get an idea of what I've been reading, please see this list of books.
I look forward to starting GSLIS!
