About Me
After spending the majority of my life in Bristol Vermont (population 3,000 with no cellphone service) and four years at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley about an hour and half outside of Boston, I decided it was time to make a move INTO the city. I took a year off between Mount Holyoke and graduate school over which I was going to learn to sew, invest in the stock market, start my own business/empire/magazine/literary publication, write the next great American novel, and do everything else that I'd always wanted to do, but never had the time before. Needless to say, I still can't sew, don't know anything about the stock market, and am still working on an appropriately fabulous plot for the next great American novel (it's a lot of pressure to live up to such a title). I DID do a lot of reading, watching tv (especially really trashy and entertaining tv and movies, and took full advantage of sleeping in. I did a year long internship in the education department at the Fleming Museum in Burlington running their outreach children's art program around the state. I also tended bar at my parent's restaurant, Mary's Restaurant, where I was responsible for coming up with all sorts of fun and creative cocktails like the pumpkin pie martini
