Basic Background
- I grew up in a tiny town called Longview, Washington.
- I fell in love with libraries from early childhood.
- My Mom likes to say that I started on my path towards library school when I was two years old and begging to be read the same book over and over again.
- I love knitting.
- I have met Lois Lowry and David Weisner. On the same day. It was pretty much the best day of my life so far.

More Fun Stuff
The picture on the left is a picture I took at the Olympic Sculpture Park in Seattle, WA. The Space Needle is in the background, and a sculpture and an office building are in the foreground. I took that picture on a beautiful day in August. It doesn't always rain in Seattle!
The picture on the right is of myself and my boyfriend, Alex. It was taken in the backyard of my Aunt's house, near Seattle. It was kind of raining that day, later in August.
