"I have been the Librarian for four years following my graduation from GSLIS and would like to give Simmons graduates the first chance to respond. The position will be open effective June 2007. The successful candidate will be expected to complete a two-year contract with summer, Christmas and spring vacations. The school year begins in late August and runs through graduation in early June. Our Headmaster, Mr. Vladimir Kuskovski, will be in Boston in February for the ISS job fair in the Convention Center and will be able to interview candidates.
LAS is a private high school located in the alpine village of Leysin, approximately two hours from Geneva.. The school has an International Baccalaureate (IB) and a strong English as a Second Language (ESL) program. English is the operating language of the school. The students represent 52 countries. The library has a central and strategic place in the life of the school and thus almost every student uses the library daily. Because this is a boarding school, all teachers live here and rotate dormitory supervision. However, it is precisely the element of living with the students that allows teachers to understand, instruct, and mentor the students with great results both for students and teachers. The talented persons applying for this position must enjoy working with adolescents."
