SLA Conference Washington DC
For those who are interested in going to the SLA conference there is the possibility of volunteering to assist a facilitator for a class or workshop. If you're interested in that, you can find the information on the SLA website (sla.org) Then click to Annual Conference page. Under the About Conference drop down tab there is a link to Student Volunteers. After I made you read all that I'll just tell you. Contact Shelva Suggs at ssuggs@sla.org.

Professor Matarazzo to speak to Boston Law Librarians
Association of Boston Law Librarians (ABLL) will host lunch:
- Tuesday, October 28th from 12:00pm - 2:00pm
- at the Social Law Library
- to welcome guest speaker, Jim Matarazzo
Jim Matarazzo, Dean Emeritus, professor of the Corporate Libraries GSLIS course, and co-advisor of Simmons SLA, will speak to Boston law librarians regarding:
- The state of special librarianship
- How Boston law librarians can reach out to Simmons GSLIS students and what skills these new students have to offer
No charge for ABLL members; non-Members - $35.00
