Babies & Bathwater: Re-Imagining Academic Libraries

On Friday, November 16, 2007, Simmons GSLIS hosted the Thompson ISI Samuel Lazerow Memorial Lecture. The lecture, entitled “Babies and Bathwater: Reimagining Academic Libraries” featured Peter Hirtle and Dr. Sarah Thomas. Hirtle is the Intellectual Property Officer at Cornell University Libraries, and Thomas is Bodley’s Librarian and Director of University Library Services at Oxford University. Sarah Thomas was introduced by GSLIS Dean Michele Cloonan, and Peter Hirtle was introduced by Jeannette Bastian, Associate Professor and Director of the Archives Program.
