MSLA Conference - Katie Cerasale-Mesina - Collaborating With Teachers

Katie Cerasale-Messina started her career in libraries when she was 14, volunteering at the public library in the town she grew up in. She holds a B.A. from Suffolk University in European History with a minor in English Literature. While at Suffolk she held an internship at the Museum of Science library. As a result, she applied to the dual degree program for archives and history at Simmons GSLIS; however, her boss at the Museum’s library inspired her to go into youth services. This fall she started a new job as the media specialist at the AC Whelan Elementary School. Her presentation on collaborating with teachers was given as part of the Massachusetts School Library Association Conference at Simmons College on April 26, 2008.
