Grading Policies

Attempts Allowed

For quizzes 1-5 you are allowed three attempts to complete with a passing score. If you are unable to complete any of these assessments after the third try, please e-mail gslis_tor@simmons.edu. You might be asked to schedule an appointment with a Technology Reference Assistance or a Library Assistant. During the meeting, which will last anywhere from 10-40 minutes, you will be able to go through any of the trouble spots you encountered.

You are allowed one attempt for the Part 3 Assessment. Please have both your wiki and web pages completed before beginning the assessment, as it simply provides a space for you to copy and paste the URLs.

Results

Official results will be e-mailed by Friday, March 12th.

In the meantime...

Before official notification comes out, you can check your grades at any time in eLearning: just click on the "My Grades" icon in the side menu bar. You will see your grades listed in table format. Quiz results are updated by 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. For the PDF assignment and discussion board posts, grades are entered manually, usually by 4:00 p.m. on Friday. If your grades do not appear by the following Monday, please e-mail gslis_tor@simmons.edu.

Incomplete TOR submission

If you do not complete the TOR by the deadlines, notification will be sent to all GSLIS faculty, with a warning that you might not be prepared to use the technology required for their classes. If you are unable to complete the TOR on time, send an e-mail to gslis_tor@simmons.edu.
