Participation
From GSLIS IA Project
[edit] There are many ways you can be involved!
- Respond to one of our requests for participation: We'll be looking for volunteers throughout the process. Each of the three phases - User Persona Phase, Card Sorting Phase, and Usability Testing Phase -- will require volunteers for interviews and/or testing. Emails requesting volunteers will go out through gslis_info, lissa_chat, as well as other relevant listservs. If you have a particular interest, however, please contact us at gslisia@simmons.edu and we can put you in touch with the right team leader.
- Take a survey: At various points in the semester, we'll be offering opportunities to participate in surveys. When a survey is available, the link will be posted here.
- "Where's Your Beef?" Wiki Page: If you want to participate but those options don't work out, you can always enter comments/suggestions info directly onto our wiki page (just click the edit tab, sign in with your Simmons ID and password, and then start typing.)
- Send us an email: Or, if you just want to send us an email, contact us at gslisia@simmons.edu [[1]].
[edit] Suggestions
- You can let us know your suggestions for the new site, what you like and don't like about the existing site or new features you'd like to have.
[edit] Feedback/Questions/FAQ
- You can let us know if there's anything we have missed by adding your comments to this wiki. Click the edit tab above, log in with your Simmons ID and start typing below the last entry. We will check your comments and respond. (See example below - please start your question/feedback with the pound sign)
- Great project (I'm biased). Are you including an evaluation of the current websites and looking at sites of other LIS schools? (Caryn, GSLIS Staff) --------------RESPONSE: Why yes. Thanks for asking. We are developing a tool for evaluating the current sites and will be making that tool available to the community so that you can help us with the evaluation. Look for it in the "Surveys" section soon. We are also doing an environmental scan of the websites of other LIS Schools. The results of this scan will be added to the wiki soon and probably linked from the homepage. (29sep07-CA)
