Business
- Need to sort out which software/metadata we'll be using. If not DC, then which metadata?
- Allocation of tasks among members: Jenn, Otabek on metadata WP; Matthew, Katharine on subject access WP). Goal is to come up with short list with brief descriptions of options.
- Made arrangements for initial view of scrapbook. What kinds of notes should take in viewing the scrapbook?
- Need to decide granularity/structure of metadata, based system constraints and decisions of committee.
- Results of above posted to wiki.
Next Meeting
- Visit archive to study scrapbook in greater detail.
- Choosing LCSH, TGM, etc.

Business
- Talked about TGM vs ATT vs LCSH: we have decided on TGM, came up with list of reasons why TGM
- divvied up folders among us: KD (5,6,13); JR (1-4); OG (7,8,10); MB (9, 11, 12)
- gave ourselves deadline of October 9 to post lists of terms for inclusion in Dublin Core elements
- will post our rough list of our terms to the wiki: will refine, eliminate, find proper TGM terms
- Final step will be to write directions with appropriate terms (and/or how to record terms) for students to use, within our DC elements.

- A link to the TGM vocabulary.
- I wrote a description of TGM, based on the LC TGM site and on Ben Florin's report. TGM may be easier/more manageable than LCSH, in part because it's much smaller; in part because it tells you what category to put terms in (subject or format). Let's talk about it! Katharine's TGM description
