Vice-President
- Cassandra Black // lissavp@simmons.edu
profile: Hi all! Consider me your liaison to one another on your fantastical journey through library school. I came to Simmons from California where I attended the Univ. of Cal., Santa Barbara and majored in History and Anthropology and I have really no idea what kind of library fun I will get into after I graduate. I enjoy the beach, a good drink, a good dance party, a good book, a new tattoo, and of course, planning for YOU! I will be handling evaluations so you might get brief doses of me towards the ends of semesters but, try not to automatically mark my emails as SPAM as I am also trying to create forums/event opportunities for all of us to network (to be read as eat/drink/make friends). A common concern I've heard from GSLIS students is the lack of connection they feel to other students, truth be said, it can be hard to make friends or even meet a project partner in this program; I am working on ways to "bring us together" (cheesy I know). If anyone has suggestions for meet-up ideas or has a group/hobby/event they want GSLIS to know about, consider me your private PR/promoter! I also plan the semester end parties; got ideas, send me an email, or stop me in the hallways. I look forward to serving! Good luck this year!
contact for: class evaluations and the end of the semester (EOS) parties
Treasurer
- Andrea Rounds // lissatreasurer@simmons.edu

I love to read and like to kayak. I'm not on campus too often, but feel free to email me at lissatreasurer@simmons.edu with your budget needs and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can.
contact for: professional development questions and student group budgets
Secretaries
- Kate McAngus // kathryn.mcangus@simmons.edu
profile: Hey y'all! I'm a second year GSLIS student from Austin, TX with a background in Russian Language & Literature. Naturally. I'll be handling online matters including the LISSA Wiki, eLearning, and reserving the lounge for student meetings. Feel free to email with questions or concerns. I look forward to meeting and working with you all soon!
- Naomi Magnoni // naomi.magnoni@simmons.edu
profile: As one of the secretaries, I will help maintain the LISSA Lounge. I hope to be a source of information for students and provide assistance to the LISSA president in her endeavors. I work full time at a public library, which I enjoy.
contact for: reserving GSLIS Lounge, requesting GSLIS Lounge supplies, adding to GSLIS calendar, receiving LISSA emails.
Student-Faculty Representatives
- Sonya Durney // sonya.durney@simmons.edu
profile: Hi y’all. I am in my embarking on my second year here at Simmons College. So far, so good. Along with the other Student/Faculty representatives, I will be attending faculty meetings and keeping the GSLIS community up to date on what is going down at the meetings. Another part of the job is to represent student opinion, so if you have any concerns or ideas you would like me to pass along to the faculty, please drop me a line! Look forward to hearing from you.

Tara Lincoln, current Student/Faculty Rep
profile: Hey all! I am a second-year, hoping to ultimately work with special collections (art documentation and preservation). Drop me or any of the other student reps a line if you have any concerns during the upcoming school year; additionally, be sure to keep an eye out for some of the swell things we'll be working on to bring the GSLIS community together!
- Katharine Dunn // katharine.dunn@simmons.edu
profile: I'm a second-year student interested in working in both libraries and archives. I'm excited about the chance to report back to the student archives group (SCoSAA) some of what's happening in the school (and vice versa). I also work for GSLIS as the dean's editorial fellow.
